Vintage Typography

Happy November Everyone!

 Display typography, such as the examples below, are an important element in graphic design.  Examples of display typography would be logos, posters, book covers, advertising, billboards and calligraphy.  

This type of typography is used to create a mood or a theme by drawing the reader's attention.  Here are some wonderful, vintage examples of such typography.

Steampunk Monday!

Let me begin by saying my heart goes out to everyone affected by Hurricane Sandy.

What is steampunk?  Steampunk as an artform that incorporates Victorian images into a setting of of steam powered machinery.  Steampunk invokes the style of H.G. Wells and Jules Verne.  It has a most unique look to it.
